"Christina Chan and Judy Tso's performance at the Community Growing Center on Sunday June 9th was a great success. The show, Bobby Pins Up Your Nose, was a funny and poignant piece based on the sad and hilarious truths faced by Asian American women about body image and fitting in. A series of quick scenes and images were passed before the audience in this clear and thought provoking performance. Although the sketches were auto biographical in their nature, the material was presented in such a way to invite you in and to share in it through your own experience. The piece was both humble and bold , personal and universal, Christina and Judy offered us a stong and clear performance that was much enjoyed."

"Bobby Pins addresses our notions of Asian American beauty and body perception with a perfect mix of sass, smarts and sensitivity."

Soo Pak, Film Program Coordinator, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

Bobby Pins which presents such ideas as stereotypes and body image for people of Asian descent, was extremely powerful in its seamless blend of poignancy and sharp humor. ... I found myself laughing at things I identified and reflecting on the effect stereotypes about Asiana had on me.
